steth_pills_diaryAt Heathcote we believe in a personal list system, which helps establish and maintain a good relationship with your GP. This also helps to maintain continuity of care. If your problem is urgent, or your doctor is unavailable, you will be offered an appointment with one of our associates.

Telephone Number: 01737 360202

To Make an Appointment

Our telephone lines open at 08:30, and are open through to 18:00, apart from lunchtime. For routine appointments, please phone after 11:00.

Online Appointments

Our online appointment system is available. If you have not already registered to use this, please ask to be signed up at the surgery and we can provide secure login details for you. It will be necessary for you to provide some form of photographic ID. It is the same system as online prescriptions so you only need one login to access both prescriptions and appointments. We would recommend patients use the online facilities whenever possible.

Telephone Consultation

Many problems can be dealt with more conveniently and quickly by a telephone consultation with a doctor, rather than having to attend the surgery. If no appointments are available, you may choose this option. The doctor can then speak with you and give advice, arrange an appointment with themself or another doctor, or with a nurse or healthcare assistant.

Practice Nurses

In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many ailments and you may be seen more quickly.

Our professional organisations advise us that for medico-legal and confidentiality reasons, GP's are currently unable to engage in correspondence with our patients using e-mail and we do ask you to be aware of this policy. We anticipate this will change in future years, but in the meantime we must insist on patients using the other channels available.

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
